euro customers miss out
Great digital picture with as many features as will ever want.
Still photo quality is very poor but this is a camcorder.
Good 15 second mpeg movie great for e-mails to relatives abroad to say hello.
Very small and compact design but can be a little akward as all buttons are small.
The most annoying thing is that in America this camera comes with dv in and out, this means you can download to a pc edit and then record back to the film in your camera.
Us euros only get dv in because sony have disabled the dv out function because they have to pay a tax on camcorders that can record from another source.
This to me is missleading because the reports i read about this camcorder were on the net and mainly american.
So yes great picture quality lots of features apart from the most useful

Sony DCR-TRV17 DV Camcorder review
The TRV17 mini dv is a joy to use. Its traditional "camcorder shape" makes it stable and easy to hold. I find the the smaller cams can be fiddly and hard to hold steadily. Even so, this cam is small, weighing in at 0.65kg,and is robust too. The controls and buttons on the cam are clear and not too close together thus easy enough for the bigggest fingers to press effectively. The 3.5" LCD is clear and the speaker is adequate enough. The colours and sound on playback are first class and far exceeded my expectations. The cam has a memory stick for digital stills and MPEG video. The quality of the stills is fairly good and these can be easily uploaded to your PC through the USB cable supplied onto the MGI Photosuite/Videowave software also supplied.

Overall I am delighted with everything this little cam has to offer and thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a digital camcorder.

T68i
Before I had the Sony Ericsson T68i, I was stuck with my old Nokia 3310. A few weeks ago, I got bored of it, and bought this phone. I love it! Its the best phone Ive ever had. Its quite well built and very light, so much so I nearly dropped my 3310 when I picked it up again because it was so heavy!
The colour screen is clear, even in sunlight, and you can fiddle around with the contrast and backlight settings. The keypad is blue when illuminated and looks very cool indeed.
There are a few things wrong with it though. One is the fact that the joystick takes a lot of getting used to and that the software is very slow on my phone. The menus take far too long to load up.
Bluetooth is a really good thing for Sony Ericsson to include, although the phone does lack a camera. You can buy the communicam for 50 quid here at amazon, but on the Orange site, its more like 100.
